Once you are logged in, every screen in ZyncLedger shares the same frame, so learning it once means you can find anything from anywhere. There are three parts to that frame: the top bar across the top (global tools and the quick-create menu), the sidebar down the left (the icon rail plus its panel, which reaches every list and screen), and your page content in the middle. This page explains each part and how to build your own Quick Links.
The top bar
The top bar runs across the top of every screen. On the left it shows the ZyncLedger logo and a breadcrumb trail of where you currently are. On the right is a row of tools, in this order:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Calculator | Opens a small floating calculator you can keep on screen while you work. |
| Find transaction | Opens a search where you pick a transaction type, set a date range, and find an existing document. Double-click a result to open it. |
| Quick-create menu | A grid icon that opens the transaction launcher (see below). |
| Notifications | A bell that lists your in-app notifications; a badge shows unread ones. |
| Appearance | Switches between light, dark, and system themes. |
| Full screen | Expands ZyncLedger to fill your screen; click again to exit. |
| Account menu | Your avatar, at the far right. Opens your profile, settings, and sign-out. |
Keyboard shortcut
Press Ctrl + F (Cmd + F on a Mac) from anywhere to open Find transaction. On the Reports screen this shortcut is left to your browser's own page search instead.
Create any transaction from anywhere
The quick-create menu is the fastest way to start a new transaction. Click the grid icon in the top bar and a panel opens with every transaction type, grouped into four columns:
- Sales & Customer: Quotation, Sales Order, Delivery Order, Invoice, Invoice Credit, Customer Receipt.
- Purchase & Supplier: Purchase Order, Goods Received Note, GRN Credit, Bill, Bill Credit, Supplier Payment.
- Inventory: Request Note, Stock Transfer, Inv Adjustment, Issue Note, Issue Return.
- Banking & Finance: Bank Receipt, Bank Payment, Bank Reconciliation, AR/AP Settlement, Journal Entry, Fund Transfer.
Pick any one and its entry form opens right over the page you are on, ready for a new record, so you do not have to navigate to a list first.
You only see what you can create
The menu is permission-aware. A transaction type you do not have permission to create is shown greyed out and cannot be selected, so the menu only offers the documents you are allowed to raise. Which types you see depends on your permission profile, not on any plan.
The sidebar
The left side is the sidebar, and it has two parts. The slim icon rail on the far left is a column of module icons. Point at any icon to see the module name; click it to open that module's panel beside the rail, which lists every screen inside the module. At the top of the rail is your organization button: it shows the organization you are in and lets you switch to another organization you belong to.
The panel has a search box at the top so you can filter a long module down to the screen you want. The modules are:
| Module | What you reach from it |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Your live business summary (opens directly). |
| Calendar | The calendar and scheduled transactions. |
| Purchase | Suppliers, Purchase Orders, GRN, GRN Credits, Bills, Bill Credits, Supplier Payments. |
| Sales | Customers, Quotations, Sales Orders, Invoices, Delivery Orders, Invoice Credits, POS, Customer Receipts. |
| Inventory | Products, Request Notes, Stock Transfers, Inv Adjustments, Issue Notes, Issue Returns. |
| Finance | Chart of Accounts, Bank Payments, Bank Receipts, Journals, Fund Transfers, AR/AP Settlements, Bank Reconciliations. |
| Lists | Your master-file lists: Sales Reps, Branches, Locations, Customer Types, Supplier Types, Product Types, Product Categories, Payment Methods, Payment Terms, Notes. |
| Reports | Reports and Saved Reports. |
| Apps | Integrations and connected apps. |
| Administration | Permissions, Users, Templates, and Outlet POS Config. |
Support sits on its own at the bottom of the rail.
Clicking the module you are already in collapses the panel to give the page more room; click the same icon again to bring it back. While the panel is collapsed, pointing at a module icon pops out a short list of its screens so you can jump straight to one. On a phone or narrow window the rail is hidden, and the whole menu opens from the button at the top-left of the top bar instead.
Locked screens
A screen you do not have permission to open appears dimmed with a small lock icon and cannot be clicked. What you see in the sidebar is shaped by your permission profile.
Favourites & Quick Links
You can star the screens you use most to build your own Quick Links. Starred screens gather under a Quick Links heading at the bottom of the Dashboard panel, so your everyday screens are one click away no matter which module you were last in.
Open the module that holds the screen
Click the module's icon in the rail so its panel lists the screens, for example Sales to reach Invoices.
Star the screen
Point at the screen's row. A star appears at the right end of the row. Click it to add the screen to your Quick Links; a filled star means it is saved.
Find it under Quick Links
Open Dashboard from the rail. Your starred screens are listed under Quick Links at the bottom of the panel. To remove one, click its filled star again.
Quick Links stay on this browser
Quick Links are saved for the browser you are using, so they stay with you on this device. If you sign in from another computer or browser, you set up your Quick Links there separately. A locked screen (one you cannot open) shows a lock instead of a star and cannot be starred.
